    Skerryvore

    by Skerryvore

Skerryvore - Skerryvore: The third release for this Scotland's new favourite high-octane Trad Rock band. While the award-winning six-piece band remain true to theirtraditional west coast roots, there's a harder rockier edge to this album in the blazing bagpipes, fiddle and accordions, electrically fused with funky rhythms and soul-gripping songs. since forming in Tiree in 2004, Skerryvore have attracted a legion of fans with their genre-bending definition of Trad music and exciting live shows from Oban, to Beijing to Chicago.

Skerryvore are Alec Dalglish (vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin), Barry Caulfield (bass guitar), Martin Gillespie (bagpipes, accordion), Daniel Gillespie (accordion), Craig Espie (fiddle), and Fraser West (drums, percussion) with guest musicians Alan Scobie (keyboards) and Duncan J Nicholson (bagpipes).

"Six of the best musical ambassadors Scotland could have ever wished for... a living, breathing, 12-legged party waiting to happen..." (The Falkirk Herald)
