Matheu Watson: Matheu is a talented multi-instrumentalist and his debut album, where he is joined by several well-known musical friends is absolutley brilliant! Matheu writes "This album was recorded during late February 2010 on the beautiful remote Hebridean island of Berneray. It has been a long-held ambition of mine to return to the Outer Hebrides to record my first album. For this project I was joined by a cast of old friends, heroes and rogues with whom it has been a privilege to collaborate. I have gathered together older and contemporary material along with music I have written over the last few years to create an album that reflects my own influences and experiences and I really hope you enjoy it.

Scotland on Sunday - 'a spectacular first album'
The young Highland multi-instrumentalist comes out with all guns blazing in a spectacular first album, showcasing his prowess on fiddle, guitar, all the other fretted instruments – and even the tin whistle. Admirers who have contributed include guitar masters Martin Simpson and Kris Drever. The great variety of tone, mood and texture ranges from a traditional solo fiddle Strathspey to jazzily sung waltzes, foot-to-the-floor reels and the relaxed lyrical guitar finger-picked interplay of Drying Out. Oh, and he wrote most of this music himself......Norman Chalmers..Scotland on Sunday
Herald Scotland - " a collection full of clear ideas and musicality"
"....Watson is a multi-instrumentalist of extraordinary maturity and a composer, arranger and producer of considerable skills. Joined by a cast of “old friends, heroes and rogues” including guitarists Martin Simpson and Kris Drever, piper Ali Hutton and Stevie Wonder’s favourite bodhran player, Martin O’Neill, he creates music from the tradition with depth, swing, swagger and character....."
