Captain D J MacKinnon - An Eosag: This CD is a precious archive of Gaelic songs from Captain Donald Joseph MacKinnon who came from Bruernish in Barra. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for his  bravery at Dunkirk whilst aboard the RMS King George V. His career in the Merchant Navy saw him become  Captain of MacBrayne's ship, The Loch Mor. He and his wife Nellie, moved to South Uist with the family. His children Chrissie, Margaret, Roddy and Donalda are pleased to share their father's love of song with us all. Most of the recordings are very old and recorded in many different places.
