Paul McCallum lives in South Uist but he sings all over the world. He won both Gold Medals - the Comunn Gaidhealach Gold Medal and the traditional Gold Medal at the National Mod. He has beautiful Gaelic and a fine tenor voice. "The voice of an angel" has oft been said when referring to Paul's singing. He has recorded an album with Dr Margaret MacKinnon and another with cellist Vivien Mackie featuring songs from the Margaret Fay Shaw Collection ‘Folksongs and Folklore in South Uist’. His most recent CD was made with accordionist John Carmichael. |
