    June Imray

June Imray, 'The Torry Quine' is one of the most popular performers ever to encapsulate the humour of Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland. Famous for her uniquely Scottish songs and poems, June Imray recorded two LPS at the REL studios in the 1970s, ‘The Torry Quine’ and ‘The Torry Quine Again’.  The north east humour in a mixture of song and spoken word made her a huge success and an Aberdonian legend.  A 'Quine' is a young unmarried girl. June Imray's hilarious "The Quine who does the strip at Inverurie" is brilliant!
