Colin Dewar and his band have been playing together for twenty years. There have been a few personnel changes in that time but they are still very much in demand up and down the country. Their playing style ensures that events and functions whether it be Scottish country dancing evenings, accordion clubs, ceilidhs, reel parties and wedding receptions go with a swing. They've also made numerous trips abroad playing for country dance holidays in Majorca, Malta, Turkey, Cyprus and Spain.
Colin and the boys play in a inimitable bouncy style, but they also respect the tradition of the dances with precise timing and phrasing. Dancing is about having fun and with their music, that's not hard.
The line up is Colin Dewar - lead accordion; Alasdair MacLeod - 2nd accordion; Gordon Simpson - fiddle; Dennis Morrison - piano; John Delaney - double bass and Duncan Burns - drums
