Mick West Band

Mick West - Is considered by many to be one of the foremost exponents of Scottish Folk Song in the World.  He has performed in England, France, Germany, Ireland, Russia, Estonia, Italy and Japan to critical acclaim.  He has recorded many of Scotland's best loved songs with the Mick West Band on the KRL record Label and also on the classic series of 'The Songs of Robert Burns'' on Linn records. Mick has recently completed his 3rd CD release "A poor man's labour" on Claytara records.

Fraser Fifield is a composer and producer, world class piper, soprano saxophonist, and low whistle player with a background in traditional Scottish folk music. He has been described as " one of the most exciting talents to emerge in Scottish folk in recent times" (Scotsman). When not performing with his own trio , the Mick West Band or with Salsa Celtica he is usually in his studio at home working on television or library music. Recently released is his first solo recording, "Honest Water", on his own label, Tanar Records.

Frank McLaughlin: a highly regarded guitarist and piper, Frank has worked with many top musicians on the Scottish scene. His unique guitar accompaniments and intricate technique have brought him to the fore and seen his reputation grow within the musical fraternity and with audiences alike. As a session player, arranger and writer, Frank's talents are increasingly in demand. He also performs as part of a duo with singer Gillian MacDonald, and with the Newcastle based four piece Tod's Assembly.

Steve Lawrence - a member of Iron Horse from 1992-95, has toured worldwide.  Steve has recorded three CD's including a soundtrack for a BBC documentary 'The gamekeeper'  Steve is a sought after musician who has toured with Tannas, Hudson Swan Band, Ross Kennedy and Archie McAllister,Chris Armstrong,Calluna  and Donny Munro from Runrig Steve also performs with Anna Murray, Rod Paul's Birlin, and The John Wright Band. He has appeared on more than 50 commercial releases as either musician, producer, or arranger.
