Rua MacMillan - Tyro: Rua was a BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Of The Year winner in 2009. This CD  - his prize for winning - is a mix of  Highland fiddler Ruairidh’s own compositions plus contemporary and traditional material.Rua's guests on this album are Tia Files (guitars, bass), Adam Brown (bodhran), Alasdair MacLeod (drums) and Brian McNeill (concertina, bouzouki). He's a great fiddler, not afraid to experiment with the music and his arrangements are fresh and intriguing.
