The Red Hot Chilli Pipers - the originators of Bagrock return with their blistering new album, ‘Music for the Kilted Generation’. The release will be accompanied by a string of Scottish tour dates, allowing the band to take their unique sound to the masses once more.
‘Music for the Kilted Generation’ is the Red Hot Chilli Pipers’ third studio album and a thank you to their fans – The Kilted Generation. Featuring the band’s ‘chillified’ versions of tracks such as Queen’s ‘Radio Ga Ga’, The Who’s ‘Baba O’Reilly’, Robbie Williams’ ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and AC/DC’S ‘Long Way To The Top’. Their version of Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’ has been going down a storm in America where the band has been trialling it during a seven week tour.
The album also sees The Chillis incorporating gospel and dance into their melting pot of sound through the likes of ‘Everybody Dance Now’ and a superb version of ‘Amazing Grace’, featuring members of Glasgow’s Gospel Truth Choir who have previously performed with acts as varied as The Skids, Horse and Codeine Velvet Club.
