Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2009 (CD): Honouring Scotland's Year of Homecoming, the Tattoo pays tribute to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns. Featuring the overwhelming sound of the Massed Pipes and Drums, and culminating in the powerful finale performance of Amazing Grace. Also featuring Massed Bands of the Royal Air Force, the Central Band of the Swiss Army, Basel's Top Secret Drum Corps, the Calgary Burns Club Singers and the Royal Corps of Musicians from Tonga.
As always the the Edinburgh Military Tattoo features the 'Massed Pipes & Drums' - a thrilling spectacle which is a perennial favourite with both live and television audiences but which also thrillingly reproduced on this audio CD. The Massed Pipes & Drums taking part in the 2009 tattoo are:
