Ross Kennedy, a native to Clydebank and later on Campbeltown has been a professional musician since leaving School. He is a talented musician on fiddle, mandolin, banjo and especially acoustic guitar. His outstanding abilities shine in fingerstyle and flat picking guitar. He's played with the Tannahill Weavers and was a founder of The Iron Horse and currently plays with Canterach, a popular pipes based band. Also, Ross is lead guitarist, fiddler, banjo and vocalist in the Jura Ceilidh Band, as well as a duo with Ben Edom fingerstyle guitarist.
Archie McAllister's fiddling, steeped in West Coast dance traditions, carries a frankness of tone that is extremely effective on slow airs and downright exhilarating at full tilt. Archie is arguably the Scottish Folk Scene's most exciting live fiddler (Living Tradition) and plays with the Jura Ceilidh Band and Alasdair MacCuish and the Black Rose Ceilidh Band.
Archie was nominated for a Scots Trad Music Award 2004 in the category "Best Instrumentalist". Check out Archie's CD Fiddlers Rock |
