Daniel Thorpe - The Curiosity Shop: The 2010 BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year is on fine form on this his debut CD. Lovely fiddle playing and interesting arrangements from this young man who has a lovely swing to his playing. In a quieter moment Daniel plays a fine version of the majestic 'Lament for King George V'. Daniel is ably assisted by Innes Watson - guitar, fiddle; James Lindsay on double bass, Fraser Fifield on soprano sax & whistle and Blair McMillan on drums.
