This is a film show about the city and its long history. Featuring The Opening of Green's Playhouse, in 1936, The film covers such things as the tragedy that was the Tay Bridge Disaster of 1879, and there's a restored film form 1897 of A train ride Over the new Tay Bridge. Dundee on Film ends with 'Children of the City' - what it was like in 1943 - a look at war-time Dundee as inhabitants struggle with the responsibilities of family and war effort.
