Three wonderful colour films from the Scottish Screen Archive depicting the scenery, history and culture of Scotland's islands. Iona, Staffa, the awe-inspiring Fingal's Cave are just three places you can visit. These films are indeed 'Treasures form the National Library of Scotland'.

Islands of the West, narrated by Duncan Carse (1972): All island life is seen on this film which was sponsored by Highlands and Islands Entreprise, this film with visits to Lochmaddy, North Uist, Benbecula and the standing stones of Callanish, surely one of the most spectacular megalithic monuments in Scotland.
